New registration is valid for a substance that is imported or manufactured into the UK for the first time or for a substance that has not been registered under EU Reach.

Inquiry dossiers are formed via IUCLID 6. The inquiry part allows people to find contact details with each other and to share data for the same substance. Registrations will be submitted jointly under a leader dossier but each member still must submit their own dossier.

As opposed to the free grandfathering process, legal entities must pay the registration fee for new registration. By using an inquiry number, the registration dossier can be submitted to Comply with the UK.
